Pentax K-5 with Nikon D800 Overview

Let's compare Nikon D800 with Pentax K-5. These models are included in the Semi-Pro DSLR cameras. Nikon D800 was released in 2012, and Pentax K-5 in 2010. D800 is newer, which is a plus. K-5 2 years older. However 2 years, the difference is not so bad.
The sensor resolution of D800 is greater than that of K-5. The difference of 20 MP is quite a lot. The more megapixels the camera has, the more detailed and clear the picture will be. The number of megapixels will also affect the maximum size of the photos, which then can be printed without loss of quality.
At the first camera (D800), the minimum ISO value is lower, which gives more opportunities for shooting in daylight. A larger maximum ISO allows you to take good pictures in the dark. At Pentax K-5, the maximum ISO is greater by 6400. K-5 has image stabilization(Sensor-shift), D800 doesn’t, it is a big minus. Both cameras feature a 3-inch fixed screen.
Both cameras have a optical (pentaprism) viewfinder. All viewfinders has no electronic viewfinderk dot resolution. Burst mode, also called continuous shooting mode, sports mode or continuous high speed mode, is a shooting mode in still cameras. Nikon D800 has 7.0 fps continuous shooting. Nikon D800 has 7.0 fps continuous shooting.
