Let's compare D5100 with D5000. Both cameras produced Nikon. These models are included in the Entry-Level DSLR cameras. Nikon D5100 was released in 2011, and Nikon D5000 in 2009. D5100 is newer, which is a plus. D5000 2 years older. However 2 years, the difference is not so bad.
