Nikon Coolpix P80 with Nikon D3200 Overview


Let's compare D3200 with Coolpix P80. Both cameras produced Nikon. The first model related to Entry-Level DSLR, the second to Small Sensor Superzoom cameras. Nikon D3200 was released in 2012, and Nikon P80 in 2009. D3200 is newer, which is a plus. Coolpix P80 3 years older. However 3 years, the difference is not so bad.
The sensor resolution of D3200 is greater than that of Coolpix P80. The difference of 14 MP is quite a lot. The more megapixels the camera has, the more detailed and clear the picture will be. The number of megapixels will also affect the maximum size of the photos, which then can be printed without loss of quality.
At the first camera (D3200), the minimum ISO value is lower, which gives more opportunities for shooting in daylight. A larger maximum ISO allows you to take good pictures in the dark. Coolpix P80 has image stabilization(Sensor-shift), D3200 doesn’t, it is a big minus. Nikon D3200 has a larger 3-inch Fixed screen, the other camera has a 2-inch Fixed screen.
D3200 has optical (pentamirror) viewfinder, and the Coolpix P80 doesn’t have. All viewfinders has no electronic viewfinderk dot resolution. Burst mode, also called continuous shooting mode, sports mode or continuous high speed mode, is a shooting mode in still cameras. Nikon D3200 has n/a fps continuous shooting.
